Vietnam Workshop Series - Part 2 - 2012

Part 2 of the Vietnam Workshop Series: "The Vietnam War: From 1954 to 1975."

This is part 2 of the Vietnam Workshop Series by the Au Co Vietnamese Cultural Center in San Francisco. This event took at 11 am, Saturday April 7th, 2012 at the Martin Luther King Jr. High School in San Francisco with special speaker former Lieutenant General Lam Quang Thi who covered the topic of The Vietnam War after the Paris Convention from 1954 to 1975 during the First and Second Republic of Vietnam . It aims to inform the younger Vietnamese generation of this important period in the history of their homeland.

We are proud to introduce Lieutenant General Lam Quang Thi as our speaker for this workshop. General Lam has an accomplished resume with a master's degree in business administration (MBA), a French Baccalaureate Degree in Philosophy, and a graduate of the Vietnamese National Military Academy. He has also published two well-received books on the subject of Vietnam War.

Prior to the fall of South Vietnam in 1975, General Lam Quang Thi was one of the most influential persons who held several important positions in the South Vietnam Army including Commander of the Artillery Training Center, Commander of Artillery in I Corps, Commander of the 9th Infantry Division, and Commander of the Vietnamese National Military Academy. His last position until April 1975 was Commander in Chief of Army Corps I Forward Command.
